have i got colitis

recently i woke up with bad abdominal cramps and had the runs then after that passed alot of blood and mucas 10 times very painful back ache etc, a have also been suffering with painful sex and in my vagina and lower tummy my doctor has sent me for scans of overies etc but everything ok.  2 days ago i had a colonoscopy in the large bowel and they could not find anything wrong, could these symtoms (symptoms) of colitis have come and gone away so quick or is there anything else in the body that could be causing this, the only thing they saw with the colonoscopy is a pile which should not be causing all this or can it? in the past i have had a polp removed about 4 yrs ago and i did have similar symptoms as i have now

Colitis could be due to various reasons.
If it is infectious colitis and if you have taken appropriate antibiotics then it can clear off quickly.
