high AST and ALT levels

high AST and ALT levels

I been doing a study and getting my blood tested every once in a while for it.  For the past 2 times everything was normal but now the doctor said he had to test me again because i had slightly high levels of AST and ALT.  The drug i was doing the study on does not cause this to happen and i am worried what it could mean and also wondering why I tested high suddenly and 2 months before it was normal.  please help me and tell me what it could mean.

Hi,
Slightly elevated AST/ALT does not convey anything. It should be more than 2-3 times the upper limit of normal to be taken as significant.

So you can repeat the test again.
