i just had my gallbladder removed two days ago and i feel terrible. i can barely walk and when i do my back hurts. i can barely lay down. i can't even reach to clean myself after i have a bowel movement. i just want to know when am i going to start feeling better. the nurses told me that if i walk a lot i will recover soon, and that's what i've been doing and i still feel very bad.

Hi,
Pain may be present for a few days till the wound heals.
If it is unbearable, consult your surgeon who will prescribe painkiller medications..

thank you.
3 days later, and i feel way better than before. walking has helped tremendously. i still walk a bit slow but i look forward for everything to go back to normal pretty soon. now my question is: when should i return to work? i'm thinking two more weeks. thank God my job doesn't require much heavy lifting.
