by doctordon, Jun 16, 2009 10:30PM
My 20 y/o daughter runs marathons. Recently, she has had large amounts of rectal bleeding after long distance runs.  She had a colonoscopy which was negative, but did test positive for gluten intolerance.  She did development iron deficiency anemia from the rectal bleeding.  What is the relationship of long distance running and rectal bleeding?  What are treatment options?
