second surgery

by d_ruthi, Feb 27, 2008 06:43AM
Hello.
I'm 32 years old, I had a J-pouch surgery 9 month ago and because of problems with the pouch and acute inflammatory in the stomach they didn’t close the stoma yet and I need to go for a second surgery to fix my pouch (because it's leaking or something like that) and I'm still having infection.

Where can I get information about this surgery?
I'm very scared because I'm from Israel and they don’t have a lot of experience with a second one.
Where is the best place to have this surgery?
Is this my last chance to get rid of the stoma?
Do they make a j-pouch again? (or is it a deferent one)

I'm grateful for any information or tips.
Ruth

Hi Ruth,
I would like to know the reason for which J pouch surgery was done for you before giving my opinion.
