why is my colitis and pain not subsiding

i am a 47 yr old female who lives in a 3rd world country.  after months of faint but persistent rlq pain i was diagosed with urinary tract infection caused by e coli and colitis with swelling and thickening of the sigmoid colon.  there was mucus found in the stool after a treatment of metronidazole and then a treatment of cipro was given and the stool report came out clean but the pain has stayed.  then i was treated with a 2nd anti parasite and still the same pain...???

Sigmoidscopy with biopsy needs to be done to find the cause.
