Adenomatous polyp

I had a colonscopy in Aug 5, 2008.  Diagnosis tubular adenoma adenomatous polyp. Microscopic description sections reveal a polypoid neopasm composed of tubular glands by adenomatous epithelium. multiple small and large mouthed diverticula were found in the sigmoid colon. The doctor told me to come back in 2 years. Should the doctor told me to come back me to come back sooner for another colonscopy. Thank you regina

Apparently your doctor had confidence he removed the entire polyp.  If so, then a two-year interval for your next colonoscopy is standard procedure.  Consider yourself lucky your polyp was found when small enough to be removed during the colonoscopy.  Otherwise you'd have been a candidate for surgery.
