CEA levels up and down

HI,


i went under surgery at  for Right Hemi colostomy for small tumor in large intestine.
At that time doctors decided some cancer symptoms early stage 2. i met couple of doctors at Cancer Institutes. They suggested at that time no need further treatment after surgery like chemotherapy just go for regular check up only. i under went for CT Scan  at january'11 also all are normal.

i am going checkup regularly every 3/4 months  once.
The CEA value is increasing from 0.4, 0.8, 1.2, 0.8,  2.3, 1.5( 6 months back), now latest 1.7 (50 days back recent).

i am worry about the CEA up and downs.
can you please suggest me abt these CEA levels
