Colonoscopy problem, need advice

Need a colonoscopy but have major issue. I understand they take blood pressure multiple times and put in an IV. Problem is, I have long standing and severe tendinitis with significant nerve involvement in both upper extremities, running from fingers all the way up to the neck, jaw, tongue, and beyond. And it is highly sensitive to squeezing pressure. Had a mammogram ca. 5 years ago and have never been the same since. Similar problem in the legs, but not as bad -- yet. Am very worried that I will be so injured afterwards that I will be unable to work again. Is there any way the BP and IV can be avoided? How would they do this procedure if I were a quadruple amputee?
