Granulation tissue

I had a hemicolectomy and chemo in 2009 for
stage 3 cecal cancer.  My colonoscopy showed " lesions" around the anastamosis site. The Dr said it was probably  granulosis tissue. He took biopsies. What is granulosis tissue and is it normal at a anastamosis site?

HI,
Granulation tissue is a part of the healing process and can occur at the site of anastamosis. Also as this has been confirmed by a biopsy you need not worry. Hope this helps.
Take care and good luck.
