I have had recatal bleeding and I am having pain in my stomach

I am having problems with my stomach, it's not a constant pain it's more like an off and on thing, it used to be long periods of time before the pain came back but now, it's coming more often, and i also had rectal bleeding once; what could it be that's causing this pain and issues with my body?

Rectal bleeding is never normal and should always be medically investigated.  Ask for a colonoscopy of the diagnosis is vague ("well it looks as if it might be.....").  At the same time (i.e. while you are sedated) it might be a good idea to perform an endoscopy in case the source is the stomach.
