Im only 18, symptons completly same as if i have colon cancer.

Im only 18/male and for the last 2 months i would say have been having bad stomach cramps,when i use the restroom, there is always usually blood when i go. im kinda afraid to talk this over with my parents due to the fact that 2 years ago my grandmother passed away from cancer. my question here is are there any ways to elimate the possibilties of something else going in me that could point to something else rather then colon cancer.
