I'm a 56-year-old womanWomen's way and was in good health until October 2008 when I was diagnosed with colon cancer. I've been checked every two years from age 42 for colon cancer as my mother died at 58 from colon cancer that metastasized to her liver. Last colonoscopy was when I was 51 years old and they found no polyps thus pushing out my next colonoscopy five years. Five years and I had a large tumor in my lower left colon.
Four months after my blood work they discovered I had cancer of colon, which had metastasized to my liver. Would these high liver blood results suggest that I should have been consider for possible cancer of the liver? Do these liver functions have any relationship to cancer? I had no other symptoms to indicate that I had a tumor in my colon or liver.
