Narrow stool, do I have colon cancer?

Hi all,

I'm 29 year old male with no family history of colon cancer. Lately though I've been experiencing a bad case of constipation. A real bad case where I'm not  properly digesting my food. My guts been bloated the past week. I've had abdominal pain and what I would consider narrow stool. It's not pencil thin or even super narrow but its narrower than usual. The problem has been keeping me awake at night. I jolt awake after a vivid dream and then a few minutes after I calm down I want to use the bathroom. Thank god no bleeding just discomfort and a feeling that I did not have a productive BM. I still feel like I had more to let go.

Should I go to the doctor and see about getting a colonoscopy?

Don't worry everyone may experience the constipation at one point time in their life. It occurs when bowel movements are less frequent than the normal. Bowel movements depend on the diet. Most of the people who are not taking enough fiber and water are facing this type of issues. Fiber can make the stool soft and well form. So try to consume more fiber foods, mean while drink plenty of water. Vegetables, fruits, beans and whole grains are rich in fiber and add them to your regular diet. Regular workouts can help to avoid health complications.

As I knew healthy diet is the key to all of your health risks. Consume healthy foods with high fibers and more water, these will make your stools bulkier and softer so it is easy to expel. Avoid all junk foods, fast foods and processed foods and consume fresh fruits and veggies. Observe your health changes on diet change, if didn’t find any changes please concern a doctor for insight of your health.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
HI,
For the constipation and bloating simple measures will help. This can be eating a bland diet that is rich in fibre like fruits and vegetables. And also taking some antacids and laxatives should help. If there is no relief with these measures then you should see your Doctor.
Hope this helps.
