ascites, periocentesis from SIRTS, liver mets

Anyone else have ascites (fluid build-up) in the stomach due to SIRTS, an enlarged spleen and dysfunctional liver due to liver mets from colon cancer? Dealing with this with weekly periocentisis? Diuretic meds? Wearing therapeutic stockings to keep edema/swelling in legs, feet down? What is the diuretic of choice to control? What else is used besides periocentisis? Thanks.
