Adrenal Fatigue - Cured?

I developed adrenal fatigue as a result of using the inhaled steroid, Advair. I quit the steroid exactly one year ago and began treatment. What helped the most was high dosages of vitamin B5 and, more recently, ashwagandha put the icing on the cake. I say I am cured because all my tests are normal, and I have regained my energy, but I am still using the supplements and will not give them up until I am really sure the nightmare is over.

so you can get AF from symbicort too?  I have asthma and my cortisol is at 2.4 in the afternoon

I thought that inhaled steroids like symbicort are safe and don't have bad side effects like oral steroids like prednisone?

If you are still on steroids you can't be cured. As for me, the days are long gone when I could barely walk across a room. But I got off the steroids.

I hate these steroids! I hope I can be cured someday! Thankfully, the doctor just cut down the dosage because I was on too much hydrocortisone. Are you still taking the steroids?

so if you really have adrenal problems you can't walk even?  my level was 4.0 in the morning and someone said it was close to Addison's disease

My cortisol was normal in the morning and then continued to rise. Normally cortisol falls during the day. The fatigue came in waves. Ashwangdha normalizes cortisol (if it is high it lowers it, and if it is low it raises it). I take it religiously. No side effects.

My cortisol was zero. I am having more tests done tomorrow including another 8am cortisol and ACTH and a lot of other tests. I pray it went up some. I had to take all my 15mg of hydro cortisone early this morning. The dr also things I have no DHEA so she is testing this.
