Arm tingling and "fallen asleep" sensation during movement of arm

I am a 25 year old mom of a 4 year old . Prior to becoming pregnant I was diagnosed with loss of cervical curvature by my primary physician after a series of X-rays. Although I tend to have constant aching in my neck, lately I have been experiencing numbness or a pins and needles effect in primarily my left arm, although my right arm is sometimes affected as well. These symptoms come through out the day and are not specifically tied to sleep. In some cases I will be using my arm and the symptoms come on suddenly. Can this be a sign that the loss of cervical curvature is worsening or simply a common occurrence with such conditions? Is there any other explanation for why this would happen? And are there any long term effects that I should be worried about? Thanks. Sam

Sounds like you possibly have a pinched nerve situation.  When discs degenerate they can form spurs that pinch on nerves.  Or a muscle inflammation can pinch a nerve.  Something to investigate.
