Question about Sulphates in Wine

I have always enjoyed a glass or two of wine, ,I have noticed the last year that I seem to have become 'allergic to it, 'after only one glass I can break out in a rash, and feel bad, I actually havent had a glass for some weeks as it didnt seem worth feeling ill , however there are a couple of big Bashes coming up, and I will look rather strange toasting folks in cola, they will think so anyway I will get a long, knowing  look from a couple of them. Now I thought it was because I am over the hill like... just passed 35.....okay  okay 37.....maybe you get more intolerant to it, but I have seen that warning about Sulphates, could I be allergic..Question for you is, is there anything I can take or any kind of wine without Sulphates ,I have noticed its not just plonk that has them in even better wines have sulphates...Got any thoughts

You should be able to get organic wine at any large health food store, and at any well-stocked wine store.  Hey, you're in California, that's where most of it is from, shouldn't be a problem.  I know Whole Foods has some.

Yup thats what I am going to try for the social scene I will have to take my own wine as they wont have Organic in, I am calling the Wineries, and there is the online Wine Lovers Club that bionic mentioned. I have never really known if MSM bothers me I treid to research symptoms came up with the conclusion it wasnt allergies in the end.Isnt Wild Turkey the one thats 100 proof....that would blow my head off,.maybe I could ask for a cocktail instead.....

No, beer doesn't.  Neither does Wild Turkey.  I'm a beer and tequila guy myself, but can't drink now 'cause of the Paxil thing, darn it.  Here's a question:  do you take any supplements with sulpher in them, such as MSM?   Do they bother you?  If not, it's probably not the sulfites or sulfates or whatever the heck it is.  Really, there's a lot of American organic wine, and it doesn't have sulfites, so if that doesn't bother you, you're set.

I went to that wine lovers site and am checking out to order some, I should be able to find an  Organic winery near here aswell, I have to admit I didnt ever see that the wines in Europe had Sulphates or ites in it, but its possible I didnt look, and I still dont know if its that ,that cause me to feel bad and break out...I love Grapes and eat them a lot I never have any effects from them, its darn hard to say one is not going to drink wine ,I think I will have to feel ill sometimes!!Hey I dont like Beer but has that got sulphites in it ?

There are actually quite a few organic wines now, but in Europe, if this is still true, the French demanded that even organic wines contain sulfates.  Is this still true?
