mercury filling removal

by sick and tired 47, Aug 31, 2009 08:35PM
I viewed  the "60 minutes" documentary aired in 1990 on mercury fillings. You can google it...
Wow, it really stirred up some controversy.. so there was no followup done.
So all - your opinion on mercury/ amalagram fillings??
And does it contribute to some unknown health issues??
Should you have them removed- by holistic dentist/ or any reputable dentist and followup with  detox/ chelation - or something to remove mercury in body??
Any testimonies of someone have mercury fillings removed and health improved??

We need some discussion here... this board is so sloooooooooooooowwww!!

And besides... I am definitely considering having all mine removed due to health issues so let me know what you think.

I had all of mine removed.....underneath every one of them was an incredible amount of decay that did not show up on x-rays. Sooooo regardless, it is a good thing to do in my opinion.
I started out with a bio-identical dentist, but couldn't afford it. So I followed a fantastic protocol i found, and had a regular dentist do it. I continued the mercury removal protocol for a period of time after. Rule of thumb....only a couple at a time so you don'[t overload your body.
I absolutely believe that amalgams are BAD!  My dental office won't fill with amalgam any longer.
Doing heavy metal cleanse is good for everyone IF you have properly detoxed the rest of your body first. I always followed a slow gentle way of cleansing.

I had amalgam removed after a horrendous experience that I've already posted on a couple other forums.  I still haven't done any detox, because I really don't know the best way to do this without making myself sicker.  I have MCS, so I am sensitive and allergic to everything under the sun.  What did you use for detoxing anyway?

Thanks Laura,
You are always so helpful.
The  dentist is quite $$.. I Iove my regular dentist, he is fabulous- gentle, conservative, ect. He saly;s three fillings  are deteriorating rapidlly- need to go , the others can wait .  He too does not use any mercury at his office.
Is there a link with the protocol for safety precautions while having them removed and the detox afterwards ???
Thanks for any info ., its greatly appreciated
Furballmom,
I detest the dentist .... bad childhood experiences!! But I have a super guy now.. keep looking til you find one. And then something to help you relax  before you go- l- theanine is a great relaxer for me.
Best wishes all!

Most of my amalgum is already gone because of all my root canals, but I wish I could give you a contact to my dentist.  Perhaps if you google Richard Fischer.  He's a homeopath as well as a dentist, and a leader in the movement to ban mercury fillings (as well as fluoride in the water).  I'm sure he can help with all these questions, or direct you to sources who can.  He practices in Annandale, Virginia.

Oh, and you'll probably find that he was caught on one of Sasha Baron Cohen's TV shows, the Ali D show or Ali G show, I forget, the guy who made Borat.  He kept asking why homeopaths only treat gays.  Pretty funny.

Sorry....I have been so busy with my daughter going back to school! lol
I will go into my health archives this weekend and see if I saved the protocol that I followed. I researched a lot on line until I found one that I could follow using Cilantro and Chlorella. First and foremost you have to make sure your liver, kindeys and colon are cleansed and able to flush the mercury. :)

Hi! thanks for the info.
Paxiled
I will google Richard Fischer.

Laura,
Please email me any info you find on detoxing.

Anyone having info on precautions I should take as they take the filiings out is also appreciated. Thanks all.

Okay, I have made the appt with my dentist to get 3 mercury fillings removed. He has been saying for several years they are a problem, old and falling apart ( or is that me??). I have 3 more then to go... but first things first.
Did I mention  I REALLY dislike any dentistry... I have a wonderful dentist ....but not as a child.

Is there anything I need to start doing to prepare for this?
I have found both the Klinghardt mercury detox and Dr. Mercola Detox....
All suggestions are greatly appreciated. It is in 2 1/2 weeks- unless I chicken out... bock, bock!!! And this is a normal dentist- not a holistic dentist. I compared $$ and the cost was prohibitive for the holistic  guy( so sad ).
Thanks all for any input.

Can I get the heavy metal detox stuff from my supplement store, what is it called or do I send for it ? thanks guys I know I have problems with metal posts ,

Well, all I can say is that once I started removing mine, over 13 in total, I started to feel better. Only have 3 left to go but due to finances, won't be able to do it for awhile.
Detox wasn't an issue as I went on the Yeast Connection Diet for a year. Eating properly really made a difference to me as well.
Now, trying my best to stay Wheat/Gluten Free even though allergy tests showed up negative to them. However Hops showed up really bad, weird huh?
No beer for me I guess.... ha ha...
My brother had mouth cancer, and they think it may have been due to over 20 cavities and a partial plate when he broke his jaw in an accident. It could have been in addition to the fact that he got his tonsils out at the age of five... who knows...

Use activated charcoal. There’s some evidence that activated charcoal taken 10-15 minutes before amalgam removal can bind smaller particles of swallowed mercury, allowing them to be harmlessly passed out of the intestine via the feces.
Next you also want to get on chlorella and cilantro. The chlorella i get is from Dr Mercola's website.....the best I have found. The Cilantro you can get from healthfood store. Cilantro is the extract form.Cilantro mobilizes more toxins than it can carry out of the body, allowing the body to reabsorb heavy metals and other toxins. Yet, when you add a chlorella supplement, mercury doesn’t stand a chance. Cilantro is an excellent agent for naturally mobilizing mercury.
You always want to take chlorella 30 mins before Cilantro....to get it into your system to catch and chelate what the Cilantro pulls out.
Once you get these things message me here and I will tell you how I did it.

Here is a website that goes into depth of protocol before during and after- It is very extensive though. I just put together my own.
