sodium bicarbonate to help alkalinyse

sodium bicarbonate to help alkalinyse

among other things, dr has 'prescribed' sodium bicarbonate, to assist function of pancratic enzymes. i dissolve 'a bit' in water, and take it between meals. i asked 'how much? a pinch?'. she sort of replied 'yeah' ('whatever') - but i guess i don't know if this is a big pinch or a smidge, or a light sprinkling, or a dash, or a tiny teaspoon or, or, or..?!

i think it's working because my system 'feels' acidic, and i think it's making things a bit better. didn't know if i should up it to a 1/4 teaspoon or..?
is sodium bicarbonate Na(CO3)2 - ? is this 'baking soda' or bicarbonate of soda', that i can get at the supermarket? cause i got mine from the pharmacist (nice gal) and asked her, and she said 'no', and i want to trust a pharmacist but im sure it's the same thing! thanks, anyone...

That is what it sounds like to me too...lol  I would stick with the pinch. Have you done any reading on taking baking soda....just to compare?
Have you tried any types of digestive enzymes?

I just learned that if baking soda doesn't say that it is aluminum free that you need to get a different kind if you're going to be ingesting it.  In other words, save the Arm and Hammer and others for household cleaning and get something like Bob's Red Mill that says aluminum free on the box.  I didn't know about this 'til I read it in Dr. Mercola's newsletter.  It's important, since we are all trying so hard to avoid toxicity from things like aluminum that we know are bad for us--thus the reason to avoid antiperspirants and go for natural deodorants.  The Crystal is bad, too, because that one is a scam.  It's main ingredient is still aluminum.  I found that I still smelled bad using that one, too.

Anyway, since you're using it regularly, you should seriously consider doing an online search for aluminum free baking soda in case you can't find it in your local grocery stores.

Rumford's has made aluminum free baking soda for ages and ages, and can be found in any health food store.  However, I'd really check to see if the stuff to be taken internally really is the same as the other stuff.  Just to be sure.  I'm sure googling it will get you there.

taking a closer look, the stuff from the chemist is ever-so-slightly coarser. so i guess there's a pharmacy grade, and the grocery shop grade!...
