Crown help?

I just had an all porcelain crown placed on #4, the crown on the side by my cheek is great and fits well, the inside though next to my tongue is about 2.5 mm short of the gum line and it butts up against the tooth they did the root canal on.

At first it hung up on my tongue and I wanted a new crown that fit all the way but the dentist said it's okay to just sand/polish it down until it is smooth. He did it and it doesn't hang up as much anymore but I said I wanted a second opinion on this?

Should I have him drill out the crown and do a deeper one??
thanks for any help in advance!
