Toothaches are showing signs of decay now from "leakage" I think he said. I think they are some older fillings I had. Is this typical for this to happen over time? and is this a typical correction for this? What type of crown should I get from a 'best for my dental health' standpoint....gold?

Toothaches..just one next to them...right side. Never has been a problem for me. I actually still have my 'baby' tooth at age 40, though it is not in the best condition. I guess I am wondering, if it causes problem for me in the future is it possible/advisable to have the impacted tooth 'fixed'??? Must be some type of surgical procedure I presume?
