Failed bone graft

by texaswavelady, Jul 09, 2009 03:11PM
I had a (natural) block bone graft in December 2008 with anticipation of implants for #7 and #6. The CT scan I had several weeks shows that I don't have enough bone vertically for the implants. There is enough bone horizontally. Is it possible to have another bone graft to increase the bone?

But it depends on the amount of bone that is on either side of the area that you need the vertical growth on. There are also short implant available that are 5-6 mm in length and also there are many different procedures that could be done to create more room for longer implants.
