2)Cont… My face has gotten fuller and physically bigger in contrast to comparable photos prior to treatment.  I have facial edema on my right side which starts from my cheek to my temple- down to the back of my ear and through the side of my jaw.  My face seems to droop on my right side. When I smile, I feel pressure in the right side of my cheek. The muscle there knots up and this is prevalent when I smile.  I have seen several doctors and all are unsure of what is happening. I had a CT Scan & blood tests and everything is ok. I saw a maxillofacial specialist- he states that one side of my jaw is shorter than the other & this is the influence and this is the way it will be for the rest of my life.? I don’t agree. I believe that there is pressure that needs to be relieved somehow by the 1st premolar that is now vertical. Either by having the tooth removed or something.  I am at a loss and in pain & discomfort, & now I am getting depressed because my face is huge & swelled up on one side- for the past several months, at least.  Please help.

Hi Tommy,
We have seen and heard many stories such as yours. I would recommend visiting a Neuromuscular Dentist and then a Neuromuscular Orthodontist and see if they can pin point the problem. This could be bite related issues and they are all giving hand to one another and could cause harm to you if that is the case.
