Infant tooth chipped

by jomacg, Jul 17, 2009 05:54AM
My 13 month old has cracked about 1/4 of his front tooth off.  The nerve is not damaged.  Will this tooth continue to grow or will it cease and therefore never get any bigger than it is now?

It will most likely continue to grow if the nerve is not damaged. At times even if the nerve is not showing, due to the trauma over time, the nerve dies. So I would keep a close eye on this tooth and make sure a pedodontist is evaluating this tooth at all times.
