Lump on roof of mouth

by BeccaP, Jul 20, 2009 02:59PM
About 4 days ago I started noticing a lump on the right side of the roof of my mouth.  It is kind of on the side of the roof of my mouth, about 1/4" above my molars.  There is no discoloring of the site.  The lump does not hurt, and is very hard.  It is not circular, almost linear.  Today, another lump appeared right next to it.  It is also hard and does not hurt.  There is no puss, what ever it is underneath the skin and is very hard.  Any idea of what this could be?  I have made an appt with a dentist but they could not see me for a couple of days.  I am just very concerned about what could be causing this.  I am a 26 year old female, do not smoke, drink very occasionaly, healthy.

Hi Becca,
These could be an infection in the teeth although there is no puss, or growth, or it could be something that you have had and are just noticing it now. Visiting an Oral Surgeon, http://www.top3dentists.com/pages/oral_surgery and an endodontist http://www.top3dentists.com/pages/endodontics are highly recommended.
