Mouth Pain

I have an iritable sensation at the back left side of my mouth, at the skin near the tonsil. Although the tonsil is fine the skin next to it is extremely red and iritating.

This has been ongoing for nearly 3 weeks now, I can only put it down to when I changed my mouth wash. Could that be it? I'm pretty worried and need re-assurance
