Pain in Crowned Tooth with Root canal years later.
About 6 years ago, my far back tooth, right in front of my wisdom teeth, was completely dead. My dentist performed a root canal on the tooth and crowned it about a week or 2 later. Im sure the procedure was successful as i have had absolutley no pain in the tooth or that area of my mouth since. About 4 days ago I woke up and had slight pressure pain in the tooth. and it gradually worsened into extremely sharp pain all along jaw except that it is the only tooth that actually hurts. I am very confused to how the tooth that is completely fake. Why/What would cause this pain 6 years later? Also what would cause the fact that no other tooth in that general area are in pain?
