Partial tongue numbness after Crown work

by Carlos4954, Aug 09, 2009 02:36AM
I had a crown done about 1 month ago and still have a little partial numbness on left side of tongue. After having the initial work done my tongue felt very swollen and numb for about four days. Now it is a lot better but do feel partial numbness and seem to have lost a little sense of taste. I have talked to my dentist about this and at first he thought I had bit my tongue or that I had an alergic (allergic) reaction to the copper temporary crown that I had for two weeks. Now I am thinking of making a Doctors appointmen to see what he says and also asking my Dentist. Is this something I should be concearned about?

This could be something that is going to go away in a short period of time, or it can take it a long time. It all depends on when and why it happened. I would recommend seeing an oral surgeon just to be on the safe side. http://www.top3dentists.com/pages/oral_surgery
