Poor speech after cosmetic dentistry - Implant & Porcelain Vaneer

I lost my front tooth (#9) so I got a dental implant followed by a crown that screws in.  On tooth #8, I got a porcelain veneer to match it.  There is this bump behind tooth #9 that feels HUGE compared to tooth #8. The restoration is very thick making my speech very poor.  My mouth is dry and I have a pronounced lisp and can not say "S" or "T" clearly.  I've told my dentist that the tooth is too thick on the back and he seems totally clueless as to what to do.  Is there a way to make the back of the tooth match the other front tooth in shape and size?  Do I need to go to some kind of a specialist for this?  Is there a speech professional who can help me figure this out?  Can the implanted tooth have a different kind of attachment that doesn't screw in?  I think it's totally irresponsible for a dentist not to describe exactly what the restoration will look and feel like before taking many thousands of my hard earned dollars.  He told me it would look and feel like my natural tooth.  I am deeply disappointed and feel like I may have get the restoration removed and replaced with a bridge or a partial.  Can you help?  Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.

The thickness of the one tooth is causing the lisping, it needs to be adjusted if your dentist can't do it I recommend seeing a cosmetic dentist. You can get a referral by going to www,top3dentist.com and click on cosmetic dentist and follow instructions.
