SHARP BURNING PAIN IN JAW AREA

by JEVCO2, Aug 06, 2009 11:38AM
SHARP BURNING PAIN IN MY LOWER FRONT LEFT AREA OF MY MOUTH.  THE PAIN IS SOMETIMES SENSITIVE TO THE TOUCH OUTSIDE ON MY SKIN IN THIS AREA.  BUT WHEN I PUT FOOD IN MY MOUTH THE MOVEMENT OF MY TONGUE AND MOUTH CAUSE A SHARP BURNING PAIN.  IT GOES AWAY AFTER A SHORT TIME AND THEN I CAN PRTTY MUCH EAT WITHOUT THE PAIN.
I HAVE HAD XRAY FROM MY DENTIST AND SHE SEES NOTHING LIKE AN INFECTION OR GREY AREAS?  WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE THING IT CAN BE? NO SWELLING.  ITS WEIRD IF YOU TOUCH THE AREA WITH AN ELECTRIC SHAVER OR EVEN RUB YOUR FINGER I GET A PAIN?

If it has been less than 2 weeks, there could be a canker sore. But if longer, then I would visit a dermatologist as well as a neurologist.
