I had my wisdom teeth removed last July - 7 months ago. Two were impacted, and two were not. The two impacted ones were sewn up and healed well. An upper, nonimpacted empty cavity healed a few months later. However, a lower empty cavity has not healed at all. Of course, it is hard to be sure - but it doesn't actually feel as though the hole has reduced in size at all. Is this normal? Unfortunately, I moved across the country a few months ago and would not be able to see the same dentist or oral surgeon, but I could see one in my new state.
