Wisdom tooth extraction only for the problematic ones or all of them?

by alwayskhushi, Nov 03, 2009 12:29PM
The left and right wisdom teeths on my lower jaw are to be extracted as they are Impacted (Partial bony).
Should the upper wisdom teeths be removed as well, even when they have no problems?
Is local anesthesia enough for a single wisdom tooth extraction? My concern is that it might pain a lot more with local anesthesia than general anesthesia.

Also, if i go for removing the wisdom tooth on my left side (both upper and lower jaw) how soon is the healing process so that I could board an 8-10 hr flight? Is flying recommended after extraction?
Is there a problem if I fly without having my wisdom tooth extracted, keeping in mind that currently both impacted teeths are causing pain?

Thank you in advance.
