dental crown

by kamani, Oct 28, 2009 01:09AM
In july 2009, I had a dental crown over three teeth. They were not individual crowns but a single crown over 3 teeth. ie. there is no space/gap between the teeth. I wanted to know if this was the best option? Will I have problems down the with this type of crown.

Assuming you are referring to 3 crowns , which are splinted together. This kind of restoration is rarely indicated. The restoration tends to result in periodontal problem. In addition, good marginal seal may be compromized. Seeing a prosthodontist is advised.
