i have a click jaw
hello im rochelle garcia from philippines and i have a problem on my jaw, everytime i open my mouth i hear a click ,its very annoying...its all started when i diagnose of mitral valve prolapse i dont know if this part of it...next week i will go to the dentist for tooth cleaning, filling and extraction..and have to take cephalexin 500mg 30 minutes for cleaning...i this serious problems on my jaw?cause i have a heart valve problem....plssss help and advice me what will i do..im really worrieed...thanks........waiting for the reply.....GOD BLESS!!!!

A clicking of the joint has no known ill effects on MVP. On the other hand heavy amount of tartar build up, uncontrolled dental cries could. It is good that you are going to the dentist to have those taken care of.

As far as the antibacterial prescription goes since you are in a different country and the rules and regulations go, I am afraid that I can not give you an answer to that. But I would follow the directions of your MD and dentist.

Yes doc, i have lots of cavity on my teeth i have 6 of them to be clean and need to be filling to be safe. and 8 of them need to be removed..my dentist text me just now he said i have temporo mandibular joint disfunction.what is this?he didnt told me about this yet, my scheduled will be next week.i didnt had to go to the dentist before because they said that its not good to have dental extraction because im just newly giving birth..thats what my parents told me... , i had 4 kids and that every year i got pregnant...so now i just waited that my younger son will turn 1 year old so i can go to the dentist to work on my teeth, but sad to say i just diagnose of mvp last 3 months....now i have a big problem , by taking antibiotic im scared taking a high dose which is 2 grams of prophylaxis antibiotic.
My dentist prescribe me Cephalexin 500mg 30 minutes before cleaning and filling my teeth is this medicine will be work for me?...and also Doc is there another way of taking antibiotics not like this 2 grams of antibiotic prophylaxis at 1 time because my cardiologist insist me taking this medicine.the last time he gave me medicine for cough my symptoms got worst thats why im so scared i think i got a phobia now in medicines.. I also ask him repeatedly if i should get other kind of medicines that its also an atibiotic but taken 1 by 1, not the one he prescribe me to take 2 grams of it but he didnt say anything he just insisted me to take it or else through dextrose?....is there another type of antibiotic should i take?doc can you advice me?lastly what kind of treatment for temporo mandibular joint disfunction is this a medicine?thanks for the reply doc...im just really worried of my sitwation now,,hope you can understand..thanks doc. your reply would be a big help for me......waiting for the reply doc...than ks again..God Bless
