"lava" crowns

My dentist drilled away all lead fillings on all four sides of my mouth at the same time.

When the crowns didn't meet correctly he began drilling on them.

One side has extreme sensitivity to cold and there is an open line against the gum - I wanted all porcel. to avoid that look of the metal line at the gum line.

I don't know what the solution is and am afraid to let him finish installing crowns on all my drilled off teeth.
