re; dry socket

by hummingbirdkaren, May 17, 2009 12:29PM
hi
I had a top back tooth extracted on the may 12th
on the 14th experienced alot more pain, went to my dentist and was told I had dry socket and was put on antibiotics, today is day 5 and pain is gone, does that mean it is healing or should I expect more pain to creep up on me from the dry socket?
your input will be appreciated
Karen

It sounds like it is healing. Just be careful no food gets lodged in the extraction site.

this morning i notice spots of white in the socket with just a little pain is this also part of the normal healing process or could it be infection (I am on antibiotics x4 days)
