8 year old boy with tics

My son developed facial tics over 2 years ago that seem to change in form, but never really leave.  Wondering is this is anything more then the childhood tics my doctor says.  For example it started with a constant blinking, to a shoulder shrug, now an eye widening and looking around.  he also has a foot issue where he steps on his other foot frequently.  It seems compulsive.  Is there anything I can do?

Tics can be related to OCD.  Saying they are childhood tics is accurate but you are right to hope to go beyond just that. They are not a condition I work with,  but check the ocfoundation.org site for information and practitioners who specialize in this area.
