AVR Replacement for Patient with Colon Cancer

by Norahjonezen, Jun 01, 2009 01:27AM
How likely or certain is it that an 83 year old patient with colon cancer treated in same year, would be eligible for an AVR who was subsequently experiencing severe symptoms of heart failure due to her aortic valve?   Would prognosis for AVR following chemo have been good, fair or poor?   Trying to see if glass is half full in that the AVR came before the dx of colon cancer was made.
