BMT or BTm

My husband is 66 and had triple bypass in 1996.  Just had a ICD put it last of July of this year.  He has high blood pressure and is a diabetic(takes shot in am & pm).   Just got out of hospital in Sept. 2008 with heart attack.  Drs. office called today after receiving results from some blood work done last month and has something to do with what I understood her to say BMT (thoguht that meant bone marrow transplant) but she says  it's about the amount of fluid in his ankles etc.  said critical was around 400 but his reading was 1342.  What  does this mean.   I know there is nothing they can do for him but treat him with meds.

Sorry misunderstood what thet were saying on phone.  My husbands BNP is 1342. He had triple bypass in 1996 and has been in and out of hosiptals  numerous times for CHF.  I 200 they said  there was nothing more they could do for him but treat him with meds because he wasn't a canidate for anything else..He past out in July 2008  squas said low sugar (husband is a diabetic take insulin shot in am n pm)  also has high blood pressure.  A couple weeks after this he was driving and stopped in middle of road, didn't know where he was at, squad took him to hospital and we were told his sugar and blood pressure had both bottomed out.  Transferred him back to his regular hospital and they still bottomed out there also.  Besides that they said he's had 2 minor heart attacks so they put a ICD in him........week later back in hospital again, said all they could do was treat him with meds as they told him in 2005.  When released he got to hospital door and passed out coming to the car.  Took his to ER and they  had his ICD read and said it was fine.  Went to see his heart doctor a week later , he ordered some tests and now over six weeks later  I received the call about him needing to get in to doctors about his BNP.  First I'd heard of this.  Can you tell me what can be done for it and what this means  And as much blood work as they did on him why was he tested for this sooner if it's that serious.  Thank you for anything you can say to educate me on this new development
