Chest pains after exercise- help?

by louloulou86, Aug 19, 2009 09:21AM
Hi dont know if im posting in the correct place but here goes...

I am 24 years old and have been trying to lose a lot of weight and get fit. Ive recently lost 42 lbs and want to lose around another 42 lbs.

As my weight loss hit a plateu and I became more content with my weight I became less motivted to diet and therefore never lost much weight for a few months.  I decided that in order to remotvate myself to lose the rest of the weight I wold begin exercising daily (along with a low fat diet).

After hearing about weight loss pills "t5's" which give you tons of energy to exercise, I began taking them and have gone from being unable to do have an hour of cardio vascuar exercise to doing 1 hour 40 mins in a matter of 3 weeks.  These pill are legal (no bought from ebay or anything) and contain ephedrine, asprin and caffine.

I upped my exercise this week and have been doin twice the amount that I usually do.  After I finished I had a strange pain inmy chest which lasted for around 1 hour.  I am relly concerned about this as I have never experienced chest pains before and wanted to know if it is related to the pills i am takin or if it is just a result of the vigourous exercise? I have never exceeded the stated dosage but am concerned as I am aware that chest pains (especially in connection with taking pills) can be dangerous.

Thanks

Hi,
How are you? During or right after you exercise,  pains or pressure in the left or mid-chest area, left neck, shoulder or arm may be felt. Exercising too hard is not beneficial.  It is important that a gradual and sound exercise program is followed especially if you have been out of shape. There are several factors that need to be considered such as your age, your level of physical fitness, and the level of intensity of your exercise.  If it persists, have this checked by your doctor for proper management.Take care and best regards.
