Congestive complete Heart block

Hi all,

i would like to know what is Congestive complete heart block. how serious is it? what are test needs to be done ?
when doctoer would say this is complete heart block.what would be solution for this?

Complete heart block (also named as third degree heart block) is a condition in which Sino Atrial Node (a node of nerves found in the right atrium) propagate nerve impulses that do not reach the ventricle. As a result, the ventricle will contract by itself very slowly and randomly. Pulse rate maybe less than 20 beats per minute.

The main causes for this are myocardial ischemia and infarction, especially anterior and inferior wall infarction. The anterior wall infarction may cause intensive damage to the distal part of the conductive system and the patient will usually need a permanent pacemaker. The inferior wall infarction damages the node directly the damage is usually temporary, and it’s said that the complete heart block will disappear within 2 weeks of the infarction.

There’s also a congenital third degree heart block which is thought to be caused by the maternal antibodies which crosses the placenta to affect the foetus heart. This happens if the mother is affected by lupus disease.

Usually the best solution for this condition is the insertion of permanent pace maker, a type named dual chamber. This device will take the impulses from the atrium to the ventricles.
