Diastolic higher than normal.

Hi All, my diastolic is most of the time higher than normal, like 88, 90, 95.  Sometimes I have headache.  I take pain killer to help me with the pain.  Sometime I also sometimes have low blood pressure.  Is it possible for a person to have both.  Thank you.

Hi, yes the values can fluctuate. The commonest cause for raised pressures are anxiety and pain. How are you testing it? The most accurate way to measure is along with your pulse rate first thing when you wake up, this is your true resting blood pressure baseline. Try taking it first thing for a few weeks and track the numbers to determine your average. Based on this you can consult your doctor. Regards.
