Heart Pounding

Hello, I am 21yrs old and was diagnosed with CHF about a year ago. I have an internal Defibrillator implanted and I am on a variety of medications Coreg,Spirnalactone,Hydrochlorothiazide, lisinopril, Aspirin, Fish Oil, and Niacin. I have been feeling ok since my last episode last year. My lungs filled with fluid and I was rushed to the emergency room. Lately I have felt my heart pound once in a while and then stop. It scared me at first but I have no other symptoms such as light headedness, dizzy, nausea, or chest pain. I have had a slew of tests done, ECG, EKG, blood work and wore a EKG machine for week and they did not detect anything. It seems as tho the more i think about it the more it happens and its starting to bother me .I am reluctant to go back to the doctors because I'm already up to my eyes in debt even with insurance from all the medical bills. I have been reading many online forums where people have the same issues as I do but none in the same circumstances. Many say its normal and does not effect you in anyway but they have drugs to correct it. I just want to know if this could be a sign of something more serious. Thanks

Have you had your defibrillator checked recently?  It sounds strange for your heart to feel like is stops when you have an internal defibrillator.  Stem cell research may be something that you need to keep a close eye on.  Find out when it will be done in the US.  Research people on this forum that have had stem cell placements done from their own cells.  You are on the best medication, so that is good to see.  The fluid in your lungs is usually due to left side heart failure, which is more serious than right side.  You could have both left and right side heart failure.  With your young age, this is very serious so you need to see your doctor and research options for your future.  Make sure that you are watching your diet very carefully (no added salt).  Eat fresh vegetables (organic is best).  Salmon is a good source of Omega 3.  Have you let people in your community know of your health and financial difficulties due to the ongoing medical expenses?  Maybe they can put together benefits for you or there is some money available.  Try church, community, legions, talk to the hospital to work out arrangements.  Take care.
