How often should a thallium stress test be performed after by-pass surgery has been done ?

Hi,
The thallium stress test is done to assess the functioning of the heart, precisely speaking, to see if there are any portions of the heart muscle which are not contracting properly indicating defective perfusion of the heart muscle. It’s done routinely and is usually asked for only if a patient is suffering from symptoms suggestive of angina/chest pain.
Some doctors do advise it to be done on regular basis but it’s not required.
I hope that helps. Please do keep me posted. Kind regards.
