arrhythmia after stent placement???

Are arrhythmias normal after stent placement in the LAD? My father is 57 years old and had a stent placed on july 7th 2010. He said he feels like his heart isnt beating right and that it hurts sometimes when it beats. Doctors dont seem to be concerned and he is due to see the cardiologist in October for another section of his heart that they were concerned about. Any help??

Yes, arrhymias and pain are not normal symptoms after a stent implant.  If the doctors are not concerned or appear to be unconcerned may indicate they know the underlying problem and consider it of no medical significance.  What is the issue the doctors are concerned about?
