Thanks !
I went to the cardiologist on thursday and I have to do a nuclear stress test.
However, my body is so tight from fluid build up that everything I tought, hurts.
It sounds like you need to see a Specialist. A heart specialist. Do it as soon as possible! Have him also check for pneumonia. Please don't delay and allow your lungs to fill up last. If you're acidic and your oxygen levels drop too low due to poor lung function caused by edema, you could find yourself with a heart attack!
That is what happened to me!
Thank you for your response,
I do have a cough but not producing anything yet. I do feel like i have the flu, bronchitis or pneumonia. My body aches and i'm coughing all the time and wheezing.
How do you keep the water off without taking a diuretic. I had been on a diuretic for about 2 years and now i off completely.
When i walk from my house to the mailbox, i start wheezing.
right now I am not on any diuretics. the endo dr took me off all diuretics. and i am gaining the weight. i have gained 4 pounds in the last week.
Retaining water is usually due to heart failure. Do you have a cough that may produce white or clear mucus? When a person has CHF, the most important thing to do is to keep the water off and avoid salt which adds to the water retention. Make sure to weigh yourself everyday to make sure that you are not putting on a pound a day. A pound a day is too much water weight gain. Water pills and potassium pills if you are on the kind of water pill that depletes the potassium. Low potassium levels are dangerous because your heart needs the potassium to beat.
