cardiomyopathy

I was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy on November of last year. I had no symptons that will give me a clue. I went to the doctor because my left arm was hurting me. They did and echo and found out that my heart was at 15%. They could not figure out that i did not have any symptoms. I am currently on medication and my last echo showed an umprovement now is at 25%. it seems imposible my doctors can not figure out. One call me the Queen of cardiomyopathy. Have you seen a case like mine before? Now that I am taking medication I fell a little tired and light headed.
Ramipril 2.5 once a day
and coreg twice a day

Hi,
How are you? Cardiomyopathy or weakening of the heart muscle is often associated with inadequate heart pumping or other heart function problems. There are some cases who are asymptomatic.  Cardiomyopathy can be due to pregnancy, genetic defects, amyloidosis, infections, hypertension, nutritional deficiencies and from certain medications. It is good that this was diagnosed early. The overall treatment of cardiomyopathies is focused on treating heart failure.  Continue your medications, watch your weight, eat healthy and have regular follow-up with your doctor.Take care and do keep us posted.
