what causes breathing to be difficult when bending,and burningand tightening across chest area?I have swelling in lower legs,and what causes burning and tightening feelings in upper legs at night while sleeping?

Hi. It sounds like you have a buildup on fluids. The excess fluid id probably causing pressure, leading to your complaints. If the fluid has also accumulated in your lungs, this will cause the difficulty in breathing. You may need (increase) diuretics to help remove fluid buildup. It is also very critical to reduce salt intake to an absolute minimum. Salt causes a retention in fluid. I hope this helps somewhat. The fluid is making your heart work harder, and when it cannot keep up, the fluid seeps through the walls of the vessels.

Shortness of breath has many different causes. Aside from the obstruction of the air passages of the nose, mouth, or throat that may lead to difficulty breathing, heart disease can cause breathlessness if the heart is unable to pump enough blood to supply oxygen to the body. If the brain, muscles, or other body organs do not receive enough oxygen, a sense of breathlessness may occur. Even emotional distress, such as anxiety, can lead to difficulty breathing.

Too much fluid in the body causes the swelling of your feet. Swelling then leads to stretched skin and feeling of tightness. It is due to this that reducing salt intake and exercise are highly recommended.

Aside from lifestyle modification, it is important to stop smoking and alcohol use, and treat existing conditions such as hypertension, high cholesterol and arrhytmias. Regular follow-up with your doctor is also advised for proper monitoring.
