icd

I have an icd.this was implanted in 11/2010,I am a slight built person and am wondering since it is ynder my muscle,how long this ache on the edges of it will take to go away.will I grow tissue to "cushion"it?

I also have an ICD, that was implanted just a short time ago and I think I've lost cushioning, instead of gaining it.  However, my ICD has not been in my chest much longer than yours, so perhaps the swelling from surgery has finally went away.

My biggest complaint is that I can feel the leads and it feels like the surgeon failed to make sure they laid exactly flat.  It's a bit uncomfortable, but nothing I can't live with, I suppose.

In answer to your question.  I don't have the ache around the edges and never have.  Have you mentioned it to your doctor?  .
